COA (California Optometric Association) and LA County has lifted restrictions for eye health care providers to resume non-urgent services for patients who need it. Optometrists are considered healthcare providers who provide essential preventive care. We are slowly opening up appointment slots and have prepared and outfitted our staff using safety and sanitizing guidelines from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to provide eye care services. Our re-open date is May 16, 2020.
We are requiring that all patients come into the clinic wearing a mask. We will screen patients over the phone when making appointments and again when you arrive. All patients need an appointment, no walk-ins will be allowed. We are asking patients to have their family/friends to wait in their car while the patient is in the clinic for their appointment in order to maintain social distancing. We are sanitizing patient servicing areas before and after patient care. Our staff has been provided with masks, face shields, gloves along with new cleaning protocols for patient areas.
We will continue to provide curbside pick up for glasses and allow appointments for adjustments of glasses.
